Port - specify the following parameters:

  • Auto CTS (hardware handshaking) is on or off. If 'off', software handshaking must be used. If Auto CTS is 'on', it forces flow control to be active, regardless of what configuration the application has requested. A hardware hand shake cable must be used for Auto CTS to work.
  • Open Retry. If the physical port is busy, do you want TruPort to wait and try to access the port again, or to simply fail the port open?
  • ReConnect. Do you want TruPort to reconnect the port if the network connection is lost?
  • Hangup. If the network connection is lost, in relation to applications using the port, do you you want TruPort to treat the incident like a modem hangup?
  • Tcp NODELAY. Enable this option to improve latency on the port by reducing throughput.

Device - specify whether the 'Onboard' flag is on or off. This flag tells the device that the character processing for this device is to be done outside of the host line discipline, thus saving host cpu. Turn this flag off if a program works on a standard serial port but not on a Stallion I/O port.

Monitor (single port display) - displays a summary of the state of the current port and utilities for port administration purposes. Information includes the devices, the device communications parameters and a summary of the throughput of the port.

Loopback - performs standard loopback test.
