This Section details the complete procedure
for installing EasyIO in a NetWare environment.
Before proceeding with this installation, you
must create a Netware installation diskette. For more information see
the Instructions for creating diskettes.

Board Configuration
Before installing the NetWare Driver, the board(s)
should be configured ready for installation. Up to eight boards may
be configured into your system.
This procedure must be performed for ISA boards.
PCI boards are automatically detected and configured by the system.
If you are installing a PCI board, move ahead to Hardware
Installation.
To configure your hardware, perform the following:
Step1. I/O address.
For each board, choose an I/O address that will avoid clashes with
any other hardware you may have in your system.
Step 2. DIP switches.
For ISA boards only, set the DIP switches on the board(s) Default
I/O address (2A0h) DIP switch setting for EasyIO:
ON ON OFF ON
OFF ON OFF OFF

Step 3. Jumpers (EasyIO4
and EasyIUO8-M only).
Set the Jumpers - see the EasyIO
Hardware Installation Reference.
Installing
EasyIO Software
The installation of the Novell NetWare Driver
software is executed from the Novell NetWare Server prompt.
To install the Novell NetWare driver, perform
the following:
Step 1.
If you have not done so already, start the NetWare Server from the
DOS prompt.
Step 2.
At the server prompt, load the INSTALL NLM with the following command:
load install
Step 3.
If your NetWare software precedes version 4.0, proceed to step 5.
Step 4.
Select the Maintenance/Selective Install menu option.
Step 5.
Select Product Options from the menu. A list of currently installed
products is displayed.
Step 6.
Press <INSERT> to install the driver.
Step 7.
Place the created Diskette into the drive of your choice.
Step 8.
Select the drive which contains the diskette.
Step 9.
Once the product is installed, exit from this task.
Step 10.
Choose the Options menu item to load the hardware.
Step 11.
Add the entry to load the board.
(a) Select Edit AUTOEXEC.NCF
menu option.
(b) Choose the LOAD line(s) to be added depending on the
Stallion board type to be installed.
Note: The command
"LOAD AIOEASY ?" entered at the server prompt will give a usage message.
The following is an example LOAD line appropriate on ISA EasyIO board
set at the default I/O address of 2A0 and interrupt 15 (note that the
INT parameter is in hexadecimal.
LOAD AIOEASY BTYPE=EASYIO PORT=2A0 INT=F
LOAD AIOEASY PCI=0 (where `0' is the board number).
