- When installng an EasyIO 8 PCI card under Red Hat 5.1 Linux (kernel version 2.0.34) I am unable to copy the stallion.c and istallion.c files to /usr/src/linux/drivers/char as the drivers/char directory does not exist.

This is most likely caused by a lack of Linux kernel source code installed on this Linux system. This means that only loadable modules will be able to be used to load the Stallion driver. Try installing the kernel source on the system and retry installing the Stallion driver.
