Media Format ------------ The EasyServer II Firmware Image is delivered in gzip and zip file formats. The gzip file is a compressed archive (using gzip) and contains a raw binary firmware image. The zip file also contains a raw binary firmware image. These images need to be uploaded to the EasyServer II or LantraServer each time the unit boots. _______________________________________________________________________________ 2. Release History =================== EasyServer II Firmware 5.1.4 ============================ Date 26 October 97 Ver 5.1.4 Prev 5.1.1 Characteristics --------------- Description of Release: This is a general release of the EasyServer II and LantraServer firmware. It also contains MENU support and the performance enhancements. The versions that support the older hardware will continue to be numbered as 5.X.X releases. This one being 5.1.4. This helps to easily distinguish them from the 6.0 revisions for the new hardware which supports flash ROM updates.
